Applesauce

Recipe: Applesauce
Tested: 1/29/14
Servings:    2.5 cups  Prep Time:  5-10 min
Notes:  I sent hubby to the store late one night to buy organic applesauce (to help LO with #2 issues) and lo and behold, they were out. He brought home organic apples instead so I could make our own. It was easy and better than pre-made. And I kept the peel on. Because I can't peel apples. Even though my dad tried to show me when I was little, I've always been scared of peeling apples.

Ingredients:
3 medium red apples
1/2 cup water

1/2 tsp lemon juice
Instructions:
1. Cut the apples into 1 inch size chunks and remove the seeds.
2. Add apples and water to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil, then simmer for 5-7 minutes or until soft.
3. Add 1/2 tsp lemon juice, then puree with an immersion blender.
